A unique and distinct hosta that stands out from the rest, 'Striptease' sports dark green leaves with a pale lime edge and a narrow white thread separating the center from the margin. This fast-growing cultivar, originating from H. 'Striptease' through tissue culture, was registered in 2004 and granted a U.S. patent in 2006 by Hans Hansen and Shady Oaks Nursery of Minnesota. The medium-sized plant, reaching 16 inches in height and 30 inches in width, boasts a greenish gray center with lavender flowers blooming from late July to August. Its foliage color pattern varies greatly from plant to plant, as described in The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009) and The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009).
