He Poked My Puka: A Picture Book for Adults, (Paperback)

Join Pearl on a laugh-out-loud journey as she takes a crafting class down on Kapiʻolani. She's ready to master a new skill, but this lei-making business is driving her mad.

No matter how hard she tries, she just can't seem to get it right. Her puka (hole) seems to be hiding, or maybe it's just broke. Her frustration peaks as she holds up her mangled flowers and flimsy equipment, hollering for the whole class to hear, "MY PUKA WON'T OPEN!". She complains, "This needle's too flimsy! My hole is too small! I cannot get in there. I can't poke at all!".

Just when she's about to give up, her patient instructor, Koa, comes over. He can see her frustration and explains that her tool just isn't right for this "type of creation". Lei-making, he insists, requires a "more delicate touch".

He then opens his case to reveal his own "professional tool".

It's "long and thick," with a "Good Koa wood handle, steel shaft, nice and wide". With one confident motion, the flower slides down, looking "perfect and neat". Handing it to Pearl, Koa tells her, "just hold it like so... Find the puka, line up, then give it a go".

Will Pearl conquer her fears? Will she finally get in the groove? Find out in this beautifully illustrated, cheeky parody that's strictly for grown-ups.

Parental Guidance Suggested: This book contains innuendo and may result in uncontrollable giggling. Perfect for gag gifts, bachelorette parties, or anyone who appreciates a good double entendre.
