We were clear from the beginning that for Toots Thielemans, one of the greatest jazz harmonica players of the twentieth century, and an influence for countless other musicians, an instrument alone would not do justice. So we made two. The second instrument we have built exactly according to Toots specifications is the Toots Hard Bopper. Thick reed plates and long reeds give the Hard Bopper a loud, powerful sound and an incredibly fast response to the individual reeds, making them ideal for fast, rocky pieces.
