Get to every single ball with blistering speed in the Vapor 12. It’s lighter and more responsive than the Vapor 11 thanks to reworked components such as the upper and traction pattern. And, we brought back some of your favorite Vapor attributes such as an Air Zoom unit, so you can always be on the attack.
- Clay-Ready Nike Claybreaker technology helps give you enhanced traction and less buildup on clay courts. Added grip in the forefoot and midfoot work with a wide traction pattern to help you slide with control. We used traction maps, pressure maps and analyzed clay buildup areas for the design. Then we tested it on red-clay courts in Europe in multiple clay-weather conditions (cold, warm, wet and dry).
- Lighter Load We brought back the firm midfoot plastic piece seen on past Vapors to provide great stability and transitions when cutting from side to side. The supportive piece also allowed us to remove the rubber in the midfoot, which helped reduce the overall weight of the shoe.
- Stick and Cut The Herringbone traction pattern is made of our new rubber compound that’s lighter than Vapors of the past. It allows you to decelerate, plant and back into position without feeling like you’re rounding off your cuts.
- A full midfoot fit band allows you to pull the laces tighter to enhance the fit and enable faster cuts. There’s midsole foam in-between the plastic and the rubber, which wasn’t on the Vapor 11, so you can jab, cut with unrivaled agility.
